    Rebecca Partridge

    * 1976 England

    Current

    The British artist Rebecca Partridge paints sequences of photorealistic landscapes, which she arranges strictly systematically according to time of day and geographical location. She juxtaposes light and darkness, vastness and narrowness, clarity and blurriness, and methodically researches the triggers that trigger a response in the viewer and activate their own inner images. Neuroscience and animism, realism and abstraction, manual labour and a flood of images are combined to create a fascinating visual language that can stand as a prototype for our time.
